Came to The Risotto House with my friends who live in town. Normally we go to Paisanos which is up the block but it was closed (Sunday). I'm so glad that it was and we found this gem!! we did outdoor dining due to COVID and the service and food was so great and it's BYOB. The Seafood Salad and the Fried Calamari were fantastic appetizers. For my entree I shared the Chicken Milanese special with spinach in VODKA SAUCE!!!!! my husband got the lamb shank that was so tender and flavorful and my one friend got the five cheese risotto which was awesome!!! Everything was not too pricey and very tasty. Thank you Risotto House for the wonderful experience.

Will go again - Now, I am no risotto expert, but I don't know how many risotto specific restaurants there are. However, Risotto House in Rutherford is a must for those who enjoy a risotto dish. I have to say the beginning of my experience was cautious because I wasn't greeted very well. When I arrived waiting to be seated, no one came up to me. Then, when I asked for a table, the waiter looks at the clock based on the 1 hr. time until they closed. It wasn't very inviting regardless of the short time to close. But, this was somewhat corrected with average waiter service after I sat down. I ordered the risotto con rigola, radicchio gambieri and my I must say that I was surprised on how good this dish was. The inclusion of the radicchio complemented this dish tremendously. It adds a delicious crunchy and earthy taste to every bite. As usual, the risotto was very creamy and the shrimp added a good buttery seafood taste to the dish. I'm quite interested on how good their other risotto dishes must be. The interior is what you would typically find in an Italian restaurant. It has a good, fancy setup good for a casual or date night. The parking is abundant with metered sidewalk parking along Park Ave.

It's been about six years since I discovered it. A friend took me there for the first time. I think I've been ordering the same thing ever since :) It's so delicious that I can't even think of trying something different. I recommend the Risotto with asparagus and chicken.

Haven't been to the Risotto in years, that was our biggest mistake. Revisited Saturday night and to our delight it was fantastic. Rice balls as an app were the best we've ever tried, stuffed pork chop, or should I say pork chops on the bone in a marsala sauce were out if this world, the Rigatoni Bolognese with peas and mushrooms in a creamy red sauce was an exceptional experience. Unfortunately after the bread, the apps and dinner, not to mention a bottle of wine, we just couldn't do dessert. Next time. Go...but make reservations.

THE MOST UNDERRATED ITALIAN ON PARK AVE. This place is so damn good. The risotto is outstanding. I ordered the stuffed shrimp over risotto. The risotto was the best I ever had. It had asparagus in it which was the perfect amount of crunch and nice large pieces of garlic in it. The stuffed shrimp was delicious as was everything else we ordered. The mango salad was delicious had almonds and jalepeno so good and the seafood salad was so fresh and a nice size portion. We also got penne vodka with chicken and a tomato risotto with calamari all very good. Tiramisu was excellent! It’s great take out but dining in is very cozy ! Excellent prices worth every penny.

Hello my foodies. I went here with my coworkers to celebrate our company Xmas dinner in Jan! Better late than never. My friend recommended this place and it was a good place. It's small, but well lit and very friendly atmosphere. The owners daughter was our host and server along with some other very nice staff. It was a Wednesday so it was very quiet in the restaurant. Probably one of their slower days, but we were fine without the crowds. Everything we ordered was great, except the pasta fagoli soup I had. It wasn't terrible, but the broth had no flavor. I still ate it, though, because my Dr. says to cut back on the salt anyway. It was still passable! Everything else was great, and they even let you BYOB, and they let us bring in a small cake. My friends wanted to re-do my birthday cake since the last place I went to was awful! I'll update you on that place in a moment! I had the penne vodka with chicken. I love penne vodka, but I find it hard to find a place that makes it good. This place made it very well. Delicious! I recommend this place as they have a great variety of items to choose from, true Italian style dishes. We had a wonderful time here. And it's not bad on your pocketbook either. If you're in the area, stop by and check it out. Parking is on the street. Meters are done by 7pm.

Wow ! I had a craving for risotto & I was about to make it on my own. Good thing I found this GEM in Rutherford. Orders for the evening as followed ... crab cakes in mustard sauce & the Rutherford salad ( delicious fresh ingredients including goat cheese & apples ). My entree was the chicken, asparagus risotto & my boyfriend entree seafood risotto. As soon as we arrived we were promptly served with warm bread & butter. BYOB. Wine was corked and poured by the wonderful server we had. Great & calming environment. Definitely a place to go to when in town! Rutherford such a quaint strip to enjoy ! Wonderful, clean restaurant !
